Carry describes flight distance. Total distance also includes what happens after the ball lands.
Read the mode before comparing.
A normalized display estimates performance under standardized conditions. Keep the mode, units and setup with the number. Comparing a normalized range result with a different on-course measurement can create a misleading conclusion.
